Thompson-Varnson Seamboat Award
This award is presented annually by the Red River Joint Water Resource District, recognizes outstanding service in managing water resources in the Red River watershed. Named in honor of Robert Thompson and Ben Varnson, the award celebrates their dedication and the pioneering spirit of those who navigated the Red River by steamboat.
